Information

Information about voluntary service

If you would like to visit the Bintang Timur School on site and get involved as a volunteer, you’ve come to the right place.

We recommend spending at least two months at the school in order to really get to know the school processes and life in Bali. This gives you the opportunity to establish close connections with the children, lesson plans and school projects.

There is no financial compensation. All volunteers receive a certificate from the Bintang Timur School after completing their voluntary work.

Areas of responsibility

Are you interested? Would you like to get involved in the school or do an voluntary service there? We look forward to mediating you and welcoming you to our team!

School starts at 8 a.m. and the volunteers’ job is to look after the children in preschool. They carry out supporting tasks and help the educators with their activities until 11.00 a.m. In the preschool, the children sing, dance and do handicrafts. The Indonesian children are very happy, the teachers and educators are very helpful, so that one is received extremely openly and warmly.

Primary school is attended by first to sixth graders from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There the volunteers give lessons that they prepare beforehand and always document afterwards. After the class there is time for private activities.
